Mastic Beach's tanker on the scene.
MASTIC BEACH NY - On the afternoon of March 9, 2010 9-1-1 received a call for a car fire on Orchid Drive.
Chief is (5-13-30) Anthony Capersino was in route to the scene when fire rescue radioed him that there was a garage that was on fire too. Chief Capersino requested to have Mastic FD and Brookhaven FD toned for and engine and RIT team respond to the scene.
Chief Capersino and his engine both arrived on the scene to find that they had two autos full involved close to the garage. Firefighters went right to work and stopped the fire spreading to the garage.
