Car burns on Interstate 176 in Cumru Township

Firefighters from Mohnton along with Deputy Chief Jim Seiger arrived at this fully involved vehicle fire on Mother's Day morning. Both departments has been at the Berks Fire Training Center for a joint drill.
On the morning of Sunday May 12th Firefighters from Cumru and Mohnton Fire Companies met at the Berks Fire Training Center for a joint-drill. While preparations were underway to use the "live-fire" prop, a vehicle fire was dispatched on Interstate 176. With Cumru's engine setup for the drill, Mohnton Ladder 57 made the response. Deputy Chief Seiger arrived with a fully-involved vehicle fire near mile post 8. Firefighters from Mohnton arrived and quickly knocked down the fire. Crews cleared in 30 minutes.
