LEICESTER, MA - On February 7, 2010 Leicester firefighters were called to Dale Court in the Rochdale section of town for a reported building fire.

First arriving firefighters reported heavy fire from the rear and roof of a two story duplex.

Dale Court is a narrow dead end street. Engine Company 3, located less than a mile away had plenty of room at the end of the street to leave room for the aerial scope.

Companies made a very aggressive attack in the building. Mutual aid was called for RIT. An Oxford aerial was set up to protect a possible exposure building as the winds whipped around.

Companies rotated thru rehab providing fresh crews for the lengthy overhaul operations. The fire is being investigated by the Leicester Police and Fire Departments as well as a trooper assigned to the State Fire Marshal's Office.
