Wolcott crash injures two people

WOLCOTT, CT - In the late afternoon of February 5, 2010 Wolcott emergency crews were dispatched to 1500 Wolcott Road for a car accident with injuries.

Upon arrival car 46 (Company 3 Deputy Chief Valenti) came across a volkswagen with heavy front end damage and a pickup truck with moderate front end damage side by side in the northbound lane just past the intersection of Woodtick road.

Engines 8 and 6 along with Rescue 2 responded to the scene and assisted with the injured victims and cleaned up fluids on the ground.

Traffic was detoured in the area while units were on scene and Wolcott ambulance transported two victims with non-life threatening injuries to the hospital.

The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Wolcott Police Department.
